Morris Lohan & Associates are Registered Building Energy Raters for both domestic and commercial properties. In accordance with the new building regulations all new homes or homes for sale must have Building Energy Rating (BER). This shows how energy effiecient a building is. Morris Lohan Associates are registered BER surveyors and can survey your property and provide you with a detailed report on the rating. Building Energy Rating
Building Energy Ratings are similar to the energy ratings that come with most white goods. There is a scale of 'A' to 'G' where 'A' is the most efficient and 'G' the least effiecient. Morris Lohan can survey your property and issue a BER certificate accordingly. We can also recommend steps to take to improve your property's BER.
Air Tightness Testing
Air tightness measures the flow of air in and out of a building, and can greatly effect the heat retention properties of your building, therefore affecting your overall energy rating. If there are 'air flows' through your property we can locate these and help to prevent the flow of air through your building.
